FArm Diversification

The Scottish Government recognises that farm diversification is a means for farmers to widen and strengthen the economic base of their businesses and contribute to a more diversified rural economy.

£10 million has been allocated for specific support for Farm and Croft Diversification in Scotland through the LEADER Programme.

LEADER will provide opportunities for individuals, businesses and communities to come together and support rural development and provide long lasting benefits to the local area. This will include support for non agricultural small businesses including farm diversification.
