SMall FArm Grant Scheme

The Small Farm Grant Scheme provides funding for small scale farmers in Scotland to help improve the viability of their businesses.This scheme aims to provide targeted support for small farms that face similar issues as crofters regarding sustainability.

To be eligible for this scheme farmers must be head of a holding in Scotland of between three and thirty hectares.

Approximately £1 million will be available each year for this scheme until 2020. Funding can be used for capital projects, such as the construction or improvement of agricultural buildings.
